Construction Materials Project ManagerRequisition Number: 2024-1060-06S&ME is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspections to join our dynamic team in Wilmington, North Carolina.As a Construction Materials Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing materials testing projects, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and laboratory staff to deliver successful projects while upholding our commitment to excellence.Your Day-to-Day:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage dynamic Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections projects of varying scales, overseeing every phase, including budget allocations, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor a team of professionals and field-based staff in client development and project management, providing guidance and training as needed.
Client Base Development: Develop and maintain a local client base and professional network capable of generating sufficient revenue to meet financial objectives.
Business Development Coordination: Coordinate local and regional business development and marketing efforts to expand market presence and opportunities.
Cost Estimation and Proposal Management: Generate and review field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals in alignment with project plans, International Building Code (IBC) requirements, and client requests for proposals.
What You Bring:
You are looking for a challenge and enjoy working on high-profile and exciting projects
4+ years'experience with Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects with at least 1 year of project management experience
A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
Excellent leadership experience
A strong working knowledge of applicable ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, and IBC Special Inspections
The willingness to work outside in various weather conditions, maneuver equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
