The Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced Modeling and Simulation Engineer to lead a team in support the Defense Intelligence Agency, National Center for Medical Intelligence at Ft Detrick, Maryland.Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team to develop and run simulations on a High-Performance Computing (HPC) System to forecast Chemical and Radiological hazard areas.
  • Use modeling and simulation tools to include the Operational Multi-Scale Environment Model with grid Adaptivity (OMEGA).
  • Serve as senior manager/consultant and provide for overall management, direction and control of resources and activities for the Chemical Hazard Area Modeling Program (CHAMPS)
  • Switch the existing schedule and resource management from Torque qsub to Slurm batch.
  • Support tactical and strategic planning associated with delivery of services and capabilities
  • Provide oral and written briefs, presentations, and professional reports to Government senior leaders and decision makers
  • Apply proper security measures to safeguard government IT infrastructure
  • Develop, update, and maintain documentation •
Develop and review detailed or complex technical documents such as techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs), concepts of operations (CONOPS), special instructions and engineering plans.
  • Provide continuity and on-the job training to contractor and government technical support personnel.
Qualifications:
  • DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI adjudication.
  • Be able to complete a Counter-intelligence polygraph
  • M.S. in related field, and 7 or more years’ relevant experience
  • Experience with Torque qsub and Slurm batch.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Unix and HPC experience
  • Minimum IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or CCNA-Sec)
