
Quality Engineer II - Space Systems (Onsite)

- Conduct processes to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols
- Provide explanations of testing and inspection plans, methods and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes
- Provide analysis and recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for internally produced products & processes
- Review process control documentation to ensure it is in compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts
- Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products
- Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts
- Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation
- Perform Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes
- Design and implement product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers
- Work collaboratively with a cross functional team of Value Stream Lead (VSL), Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to meet schedule, cost, and technical requirements
- Review engineering drawings/specifications to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements
- Review and approve manufacturing and test procedures to ensure products meet internal and customer requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Preliminary Review/Material Review Board experience
- Operations experience
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues and strategize longer term projects
- Strong computer skills - Solumina, SAP, Windchill PLM, Microsoft Office
