Overview:Mechanic - Operators Union**Candidate must be part of the Local 3 Operating Engineers Union or be willing to join the union.**LOCATION: Springville, UT - Some out of state travel might be requiredDUTIES:
  • Perform major and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment, trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain parts inventory and accurate records of repairs performed on equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long period of time.
  • Determine equipment condition by conducting inspection and diagnostic test to identify worn and damaged parts.
  • Complete preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment available for use.
  • Verify equipment performance by operating equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs.
  • Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by OSHA, MSHA and company policy.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • (2-3 years) previous experience in similar position
  • Clean driving record and medical card required. CDL preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Takes instruction well from management - including the ability to demonstrates attention to detail, and active listening skills with the ability to learn quickly
  • Must be able to work in a field and shop environment with little to no supervision.
  • Must be able to work in all degrees of weather
  • Must put SAFETY first by adhering to all safety rules
