The Guardian Support Management Office (GSMO) seeks a visionary Supervisory Military Resource Advisor and Military Pay Expert to build and lead a high-performing team supporting the United States Space Force. If you're a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and eager to build a lasting legacy within the USSF, this is your chance to make a profound impact.The Chief Budget Analyst is a key leadership position responsible for providing accurate, timely, and professional financial support to part-time work roles within the organization. This role advises Headquarters (HQ) on part-time work role budget forecasting and constraints, ensuring effective resource allocation and compliance with all applicable regulations. The Chief Budget Analyst also serves as a first-level supervisor, providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of 3-5 non-supervisory financial professionals.Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Expert knowledge of a wide variety of military pay laws and pay principles, Air Force Instructions, policies, procedures and precedents.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods in DoD, specifically Air Force Reserve IMA Pay.
3. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization.
5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.RequirementsConditions of employment

- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
- PCS is not authorized. Incentives are not authorized.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- This is a Supervisory position being filled.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
