Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our AP function. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining vendor relationships, and leading a small team of AP specialists. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, leadership capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.Ahermco Industries is seeking an AP Supervisor Responsibilities:Manage daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls and policiesReview and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment runs, ensuring proper documentation and approvalsManage month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliationsAct as point of contact for escalated vendor inquiries and issues, working to resolve disputes and maintain positive vendor relationshipsCollaborate with Procurement, Accounting, and other internal departments to ensure efficient procure-to-pay processesMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AP functionMaintain and enforce compliance with tax regulations (e.g., 1099s, sales/use tax)Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as neededIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyTrain, mentor, and develop team members through coaching, performance feedback, and goal setting Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead roleStrong knowledge of GAAP and AP best practicesExperience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applicationsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to lead and develop a teamExperience in a utilities, energy, or field service organizationFamiliarity with invoice automation and AP workflow toolsKnowledge of multi-entity or multi-location operations#LI-JF1Shermco Industries will not recognize claim to any unsolicited resumes or candidate information from third party agencies.
