- Utilize advanced analytical equipment for characterization and problem-solving.
- Evaluate coating systems to specifications or other test requirements using ASTM or other test methods.
- Prepare and test samples to support customer complaint investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the scale-up activities of new or difficult-to-manufacture formulations in the plant.
- Ensure compliance with all record-keeping and documentation requirements supporting laboratory activities.
- Provide technical assistance to internal departments and customers.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
- Experience in scale-up and formulation.
- Prior chemical testing experience.
- Physical testing experience (corrosion/weathering).
- Salt/humidity testing experience.
- Quality control and assurance knowledge.
- Laboratory and analytical chemistry skills.
- Experience with titration, inspection, and wet chemistry.
- Data entry proficiency.
