
2026 Spatial Transcriptomics Intern (PhD)

- Test new algorithms on spatial transcriptomics data for accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the expansion and optimization of our spatial data analysis pipeline.
- Work within an interdisciplinary team to integrate cutting-edge tools and technologies and advance the understanding of disease biology.
- Contribute easily maintainable, robust, and flexible code for spatial analysis pipelines.
- Interpret and communicate results to team members and a wider audience of interdisciplinary scientists.
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
- Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 - July 2027
- Experience working with spatial transcriptomics required, preferably Xenium
- Fluent in R and/or Python
- Fluent in single-cell RNA-seq analysis
- Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in immunology is a plus
- Experience with image analysis is a plus
- Experience with nextflow and GitHub
