- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
- Lead and manage high-level commercial relationships within your designated region, influencing decision-makers in the healthcare space.
- Position Myriad's products as the preferred solution by leveraging your industry expertise and fostering strategic partnerships.
- Drive new business development efforts by identifying commercial opportunities and generating leads through innovative programs, referrals, and networking.
- Manage the full sales process for your accounts, including lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product management, to refine sales strategies, tailor presentations, and ensure the effective delivery of sales collateral.
- Focus on expanding business in key markets, with a primary focus on outpatient practices, local insurance payors, physician groups, and long-term care facilities.
- Monitor and analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Attend and represent the company at key local tradeshows, industry conferences, and networking events to further strengthen market presence.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sales staff, sharing your expertise in sales strategies, relationship-building, and account management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and operational efforts, contributing to the development of customer-centric solutions.
- Stay current on personalized medicine trends, advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure Myriad remains at the cutting edge of healthcare innovation.
- Actively participate in internal training and development initiatives to refine sales strategies, product knowledge, and client engagement techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and performance metrics in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership on sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
- Preferably 5 years of experience in medical sales or more.
- A proven track record in the healthcare, biotech, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals industry preferred.
- Experience managing large accounts and complex sales cycles, with a demonstrated ability to lead and close deals preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, coaching, problem-solving, and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems, with the ability to analyze and report on sales data.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA laws, patient privacy regulations, and the healthcare industry preferred.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel as required (valid driver's license required).
