Reports to: Deposit Operations ManagerPosition Summary:
The Deposit Operations Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Deposit Operations staff and is responsible for providing direct support and supervision to staff. This position provides support to other departments of the bank and intervenes to support the branches in resolving the more complex customer service issues. Performs supervisory duties for the department, coordinates staff coverage, and special projects, and works to create efficiencies and enhance procedures. Perform all job responsibilities as noted below including the daily supervision of Deposit Operations employees, in a manner that will ensure compliance with regulatory issues as well as the policies and procedures of the Bank.Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight: Manage and oversee daily deposit operations, including transaction processing, account maintenance and reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train and mentor a team within deposit operations and act as a subject matter expert for branch staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor daily activities to maintain accuracy and quality in deposit processes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of 3 years previous bank operations experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ideal candidates will have a strong background in deposit operations and regulatory compliance.Experience with Fiserv platforms such as Cleartouch and WireXChange is highly desirable.Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Overall understanding and working knowledge of bank operational procedures and 3 or more years of compliance, banking, and/or audit experience.
  • Additional experience in other areas of a bank would be beneficial, especially in a branch environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and reinforce outstanding customer service.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Well versed in Federal and State banking regulations as they pertain to operational functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Fiserv programs: Cleartouch, WireXChange, Client Central, Director (Unity Client) is highly desired; strong knowledge of the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB).
  • Ability to research, interpret, analyze and report operational data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with bank personnel of all levels
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate others, manage performance, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Builds strong team dynamics, including coaching and mentoring the team to support their development, enhance collaboration and drive performance.
  • High energy multi-tasker with excellent time management skills, the ability to work independently, establish priorities, delegate and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, including the ability to navigate interpersonal dynamics, respond to feedback constructively, and foster a respectful, inclusive team environment.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and outcomes, follow through on commitments, and proactively address issues or errors with transparency and integrity.
  • Proficient in use of basic computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
