Participates in peer review process and quality improvement program.Potential supervisory responsibility as psychiatry program expands.Participates in medical staff committees.Serves as a role model to the medical staff regarding psychiatric medical practice.Sets standards of clinical care and oversees an ongoing system to evaluate and monitor clinical care.Recommends and ensures compliance with policies, regulatory requirements and standards that cover clinical and patient care responsibilities.Works closely with CAPS and other campus partners to improve psychiatric services provided to students.Actively participates in the three-year AAAHC re-accreditation review with support from the appropriate committee members.Ensures clinical compliance with accreditation and other prevailing standards.Gathers data for staffing, program, and services evaluation.Responds to student patient, parent, faculty, or staff concerns as needed or requested.Serves on university and departmental committees as needed or requested.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.FAU Benefits and PerksIf Benefits & Perks are important to you, then FAU is the place to be! View it here:Minimum Qualifications: A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution and fours years of appropriate experience required.Licensed to practice medicine in the State of FloridaFive (5) years clinical experience in out-patient mental health, university counseling or similar setting.Eligible for board-certification or Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited residency in psychiatry required.Must have a Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.Must be comfortable and proficient in accurate coding, billing, and documentation.Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be patient-centeredMust have extensive knowledge and experience in psychopharmacology and behavioral therapies, with particular expertise in treating mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, PTSD and substance abuse.Experience working with diverse populations within a relational cultural framework, and familiarity with the psychological and developmental experiences of college students.Salary: $220,000 - $235,000 per year.College or Department: Division of Student Affairs: Student Health ServicesLocation: Boca RatonWork Days and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
