Responsibilities40%* The tech as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintains a friendly customer oriented attitude at all times. It is expected that at all times the tech will treat every person they encounter with non-judgmental: kindness, compassion, respect, and relationship based care.30%* Follows direction from RN to provide services as prescribed by the physician’s authorized plan of care and accepted standards of evidence based practice that is within the tech’s scope of practice. Provides direct patient care including minor treatments, answering call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, and other duties as assigned.20%* Reports effectiveness of treatment plan to the RN and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.10%* The tech is knowledgeable and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. Equivalent Experience: Must hold an internal MidMichigan Health Patient Care Technician certification or a current State of Michigan registry document as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification culminating in licensure in the State of Michigan, or be certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA) in the State of Michigan, or be a nursing student who is currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has successfully completed the first semester. *For current PCT's with an expired CNA certification, EMT certification, or a lapsed LPN license, an opportunity to achieve an internal MidMichigan Health Patient Care Technician certification will be offered*Essential: trueCredential:NIMS: National Incident Management System
