Pay Rate: $20-22 / hour DOEPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Millwright Helper for a potential contract-to-hire opportunity supporting maintenance operations in an industrial/agricultural setting. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced millwrights, providing hands-on assistance with daily maintenance tasks, tool handling, and equipment preparation. This role is ideal for someone with basic mechanical aptitude who is eager to learn and can work safely around machinery and at heights.Key Responsibilities
- Assist millwrights with maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
- Handle and pass tools , equipment, and materials to skilled workers.
- Perform basic tasks such as greasing, cleaning, and preparing equipment.
- Support gearbox maintenance and other routine upkeep activities.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure work efficiency.
- Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn.
- Ability to work at heights as required.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills ; ability to be vocal and responsive during tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Prior millwright helper or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Industrial and agricultural facility setting.
- Exposure to machinery, tools, and moving equipment.
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors.
- $20 - 22 per hour, depending on experience .
