Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Principal Engineer in Saint Louis, MO. Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Principal Engineer to drive the technical vision and execution of custom software product development initiatives. This role demands a strategic thinker with a product mindset, capable of architecting scalable solutions while remaining hands-on throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, including offshore/nearshore resources, and delivering high-quality software products aligned with business goals.
  • 10+ years of experience in full-stack development, enterprise architecture, and solution design
  • Proven experience leading product development teams and managing offshore/nearshore resources
  • Strong proficiency in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Frontend frameworks (Angular), Backend technologies (.NET, C#)
  • Expertise in Microservices, event-driven architecture, REST/GraphQL APIs, Kubernetes, and MACH architecture
  • Experience with AWS Step Functions, Lambdas, or equivalent technologies
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to assist with code generation, testing, and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user experience and business value
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems using MuleSoft, API Manager, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with observability tools and performance optimization strategies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
