Our client, a leader in the computer software industry for healthcare, is seeking a certified Epic Professional Billing Analyst to join their team. This mid-senior role is vital for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Epic Professional Billing module to ensure accurate patient billing, claims processing, and reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Resolute module and a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, customize, and maintain the Epic Professional Billing application to meet specific business needs.
- Perform system builds, testing, and migrate changes to production.
- Analyze and optimize financial workflows, implementing leading practices for efficiency.
- Act as the primary support contact, troubleshooting system errors related to billing, claims, and reimbursement.
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Train and educate end-users on Epic applications and related workflows.
- Stay current with Epic technologies, software updates, and industry regulations (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
- Develop and document internal procedures for system use.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Epic Professional Billing is required.
- 5+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3+ years of specific expertise in Epic's Professional Billing module (charge router, work queues, collection agency workflows, statement processing, benefit engine, estimates).
- Proven experience with system configuration and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, medical billing codes, and insurance procedures.
- Familiarity with the differences between professional and hospital billing.
- Knowledge of medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-10).
- Must be local to the Hicksville/Garden City, NY area (no relocation assistance).
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
