This role is ideal for someone who enjoys construction, takes pride in supporting a team, and thrives in a physically active, fast-paced environment.Position SummaryThe Driver/Carpenter is the logistical backbone of our production team. You'll be trusted to keep jobsites safe, clean, and well-supplied so carpenters, superintendents, and project leads can focus on building. From driving company vehicles for material runs to assisting with unloading, setup, and cleanup, you'll play a vital role in project success.This is a growth-oriented role for someone eager to learn the construction industry, take initiative, and build a long-term career with a respected design-build firm.Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and jobsite waste
- Pick up and deliver supplies from vendors as needed
- Assist carpenters with unloading/loading equipment and materials on site
- Maintain trucks, tools, and shop inventory in clean and organized condition
- Support the field team with jobsite setup, cleanup, and debris removal
- Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are upheld at every site
- Transport ladders, scaffolding, barriers, or signage as required
- Anticipate needs by communicating closely with the Production Manager and Superintendents
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
- Experience driving large vehicles, vans, or trailers preferred
- Basic knowledge of residential construction tools, materials, and safety practices
- Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive problem-solver
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
