- Schedule is 6am to 6pm 12 hours shift 2-2-3

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year wastewater treatment experience or equivalent training/certification strongly preferred.
- Basic mechanical competency with standard wastewater equipment to include, pumps, and automation required.
- Operator-in-Training (OIT) Wastewater Operator Certification by state agency required or obtained within one (1) year of hire.
- Basic Wastewater Operator Certification recommended after two (2) years.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to extract, analyze, and act on information with limited supervisory input.
- Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
- Ability to apply logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages.
- Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
- Able to exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, copy data from one record to another, etc.); interview to gather information; advise others on alternatives/options; coach and counsel others; read, understand and explain technical data.
- Maintain updated knowledge and understanding of federal and state regulations, procedures, and standards.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
