- Design, develop and maintain scalable cloud-based web applications using C#, .NET Core, SQL and Azure among other technologies
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs to enable secure communication between systems and services.
- Implement data models into web applications.
- Ensure software quality through unit testing, clean and maintainable code, and participation in code reviews.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations as necessary.
- Collaborate with product, data, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements for software solutions.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Participate in software design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions and documentation.
- Take ownership of assigned modules or projects with minimal supervision.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards
- Follow Milliman’s established company standards and software development best practices.
- Adhere to all Milliman risk management requirements and protocols.
- Experience building software that incorporates data, statistical, actuarial, machine learning models
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL
- Proficient in building and integrating RESTful API’s
- Solid understanding of database design and data-driven applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail in code and written communication, documentation, etc.
- Ability to work directly with non-technical staff and client stakeholders to understand and assess needs and feedback
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Takes initiative to find technical solutions to business challenges; inspires others to do the same
- Able to adeptly manage own workload to meet all deadlines and deliverables, with unwavering dedication to product quality
- Accustomed to working in a hybrid environment with clients and team members
- The ability and willingness to clearly articulate questions and ideas

- Preference given to candidates with a mathematics, applied math, or statistics background i.e. education and/or experience in industries such as mortgage, insurance, or finance
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL)
- Experience working in Agile environments, CI/CD Pipelines, DevOps, Automated Testing Framework
