- Performance of essential job responsibilities in a moving ground ambulance as well as the potential to do so in an outdoor environment (inclement weather, extremes of temperature, etc.)
- Exposure to noise, vibration of ground ambulance
- Exposure to patients with known or unknown infectious disease in an enclosed space
- Operate the transport equipment (within scope of practice) effectively
- Check functioning and safety of all equipment
- Uses supplies efficiently and replaces supplies when needed and/or after each call
- Cleans front and back of ambulance as needed and/or after each call and/or before ending shift
- Completes patient care reports correctly and in a timely manner as educated and directed according to AMT standard practice
- Is respectful towards all they encounter and leads with honesty and integrity
- At least 1 year of experience as a 911 responder
- Must be able to communicate effectively and able to follow written and verbal directions
- Able to transfer and position patients independently and safely
- Understands position may require exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, radiation, and other conditions
- Able to work irregular hours under high stress conditions
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and others that require Paramedic to verbally communicate, as well as hear, and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
