- Brings a job (a set of screws) on a cart to a machine to the IN WIP area
- Takes a job (a set of screws) to its next machine/process as soon as it is complete
- Makes sure that no carts lie around the shop, either empty nor loaded with screws
- Delivers tools or parts to departments in any work center, Eg. Pre-inspect to Boxing
- Processes incoming new screws: Nitride to mag, and pickle to neutralize, before sending to next process
- Removes boxed screws and stores in appropriate warehouse storage areas.
- Moves “waiting” screws out of processing area and into boxing.
- Brings Job Traveler Packages from the office to the floor or obtains from Operations Manager
- Ensures that the set of prints (LHL/RHL) for a set of screws is always on the cart carrying the screws
- Delivers and picks up screws or barrels from suppliers
- Cuts steel; manages steel yard
- Junks screws as needed from main plant
- Work with supervisor on technical irregularities
- Work with minimal supervision

- Math Skills – basic math skills required, advanced preferred; general computer skills; knowledge and understanding of various measuring devices.

- Written communication – must be able to complete required paperwork and provide information needed by subsequent shift workers, coworkers and supervisors.
- Reading – read and understand written instructions, blueprints, job travelers, etc.
- Listening – understand and retain oral job-related information and instructions received from coworkers and supervisors. Listen for alarms and monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Seeing – visually monitor machine and product to ensure proper mechanics and quality are maintained and identify problems; specifically paying attention to detail.
- Equipment – load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using forklift; use of overhead crane; maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Technical school w/certificate is preferred.
- General industry experience
- Requires the use of simple arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of decimals and fractions, together with the ability to interpret written shipping instructions and packing sheets
- Must be able to drive a forklift or company vehicle. Requires valid state Driver’s License and certification (in-house)
- 3 – 5 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit use hands, reach, talk, hear, taste or smell
- Climb or balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stretch, crouch.
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Vision requires close focus, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
