Position SummaryManages sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, fleet, and materials functions to ensure timely, cost-effective support for upstream operations. Coordinates with internal teams and vendors to plan, deliver, and track goods and services. Oversees inventory accuracy, delivery execution, compliance, and supplier performance to drive operational readiness and continuous improvement. This position reports to the Sourcing Manager and is based in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.Essential Job FunctionsApplies deep SCM and upstream knowledge to manage complex issues and guide decision-makingLeads projects, manages risks, & drives execution of cross-functional business plansMentors peers and builds team collaboration through coaching and partnershipCommunicates effectively and tailors messaging across stakeholders and audiencesDrives process improvements through analysis, innovation, & cross-functional coordinationMaintains regulatory compliance and internal controls to ensure operational integrityApplies sector knowledge & tools to enhance performance & continuous improvementOversees critical procurement efforts, leading complex negotiations, supplier engagement, and alternative sourcingFacilitates strategic sourcing events to ensure quality and cost-effective supplier outcomesExecutes contract management independently and mentors peers on structure and best practicesApplies advanced SRM and leads cross-functional communication and supplier negotiationsConducts detailed pricing and market analysis to inform sourcing decisionsDevelops logistics processes and cost models; supports operational and financial decision-makingMentors staff and enhances procurement tools, templates, and PR/PO process trainingSuggest process enhancements or cost-saving opportunities identified during routine activitiesPerform additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the location or company.This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Incumbents will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and duties outside of their normal responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related discipline10 years of expertise in strategic sourcing and contract management within an Operator environmentRFx execution, ERP entry, vendor portals, route/material staging, reconciliation & system accuracyOilfield materials/fleet familiarity; ability to lead training, solve issues, and ensure data complianceProficient in Power BI and data analytics, with a strong ability to create insightful visualizations and reports that drive informed decision-makingStrong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional attention to detailProficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant programsAbility to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing companyAbility to meet deadlinesPhysical Requirements: Ability to work effectively in a standard office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and telephones; maintain focus despite interruptions; possess vision for reading printed materials and computer screens; and have the hearing and speech capabilities necessary for in-person and telephone communication.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
