- Collects blood specimens from patients (including pediatric and geriatric) using skillful, safe, and accurate techniques
- Explains procedures to patients and creates a calm, professional environment
- Verifies patient/donor identity and ensures accurate labeling and documentation
- Processes specimens for clinical and forensic testing per established protocols
- Maintains a clean, safe, and professional workspace
- Accurately completes all necessary records and documentation
- Demonstrates commitment to quality, confidentiality, and positive representation of the organization
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA)
- Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred)
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
