Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves preparing control systems (DCS and/or PLC) and instrument specifications, as well as developing detailed scope documents to guide upgrade and migration projects. You will be responsible for preparing instrumentation design deliverables, such as Instrument Lists, Construction Specifications, Installation Details, and Location Plans. Your expertise will also be essential in developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's) and equipment subcontract package specifications. Additionally, you will prepare control narratives based on P&ID and I/O lists, and manage vendor I/O and instrument lists.Responsibilities
- Prepare control systems and instrument specifications.
- Develop detailed scope documents for upgrades and migrations.
- Prepare instrumentation design deliverables.
- Develop P&ID and equipment subcontract package specifications.
- Prepare instrument and control specifications RFQ and technical bid summaries.
- Review and approve HMI screen graphic interfaces.
- Manage vendor I/O and instrument lists and coordinate I/O partitioning.
- Verify and perform design calculations, project studies and report preparation.
- Evaluate technical bids and manage vendor contracts.
- Review and approve vendor drawings.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests and control wiring design.
- Provide technical assistance during project commissioning.
- Perform quality reviews of project submittals.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Read and create electrical schematics and circuits.
- Create cable sizing calculations and termination interconnects.
- 4+ years of related experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SocketWorx.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
- Professional Engineering License preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- US Passport Holder.
- Available to travel up to 10% of the time.
