Zoox is getting ready for commercial service. We're looking for a Product Manager to steward a suite of software tools for Mission Operations. In this role, you will uncover and prioritize problems getting in the way of our operator's goals. You will lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ideate, design, prioritize, and deliver successful solutions.Mission Operations is similar to air traffic control. This team is working behind the scenes to ensure everything is running smoothly and safely. They are responsible for looking at the entire operation holistically and at ways to maximize safety, service, and real-time management of the entire fleet and crew allocation. The team monitors particular areas within the vehicle's operational design domain and whether or not certain areas should be temporarily avoided. Like, for example, if there is a large parade happening in that region, they are responsible for putting restrictions in place to ensure our vehicle service wouldn't be tied up or interrupted.In this role, you will:
  • Be an advocate for our operations teams, our riders, and the communities we operate in.
  • Steward a suite of software products aligned around delivering outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and program management to solve user needs.
  • Define metrics that measure both product health and success.
  • Prioritize problems and make trade-off decisions to find the best solution.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of direct product management experience.
  • Curiosity, a desire to figure out how to make things better.
  • Experience leading with empathy. Affecting outcomes with influence instead of authority.
  • Experience building software products, and concepts such as web apps and APIs.
  • The ability to balance long-term strategic objectives against near-term tactical wins.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Stewarded products through its lifecycle in a relevant space.
  • Experience building tooling for operations or fleet management.
  • Experience with workflow or funnel optimization.
  • How to thrive in a growing, complex organization.
Compensation and BenefitsThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $160,000 to $220,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package.
