
R&D Engineer I

- Fully participate in and successfully contribute to project teams typically including the following activities: product design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process capability studies, research investigations (animal and clinical studies), report preparation, and process/test documentation
- Collaborate with supplier engineering to develop relationships with suppliers and drive technical results
- Work independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines
- Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments
- Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures
- Perform troubleshooting on new products/process problems as related to design, material, or process
- Summarize and analyze test results
- Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community
- Responsible for engineering documentation
- Invent/create concepts and designs for new products/processes; submit idea disclosures
- Work cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing to ensure project success
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
- 0-1 years of prior experience (or similar through internships/co-ops) in Research and Development
- Prior internship experience with Boston Scientific
- Medical device design and or process experience
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Class II or Class III Medical Device product development experience
- Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge
- Solid clinical knowledge and experience in cardiovascular anatomy
- Fundamental understanding of thrombectomy procedures within the arterial system
