
3rd Shift Security Supervisor

- Supervise a team of 3rd shift armed and non-armed security officers;
- Monitor, document, advise, and provide updates on any security or safety issues, ensuring that all incidents are documented and reported immediately;
- Compile and present campus security recap reporting to head of security as requested;
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures;
- Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents promptly and appropriately;
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention;
- Enforce access control procedures and visitor management;
- Patrol campus regularly, per defined security routines, to maintain order and establish presence with security team;
- Works closely with external businesses on campus to provide security services as prescribed by the business, and approved by the head of security;
- Maintain and create security schedule for 3rd shift;
- Conduct shift briefings and assign duties;
- Sustain the highest levels of professional conduct and customer service maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor; and
- May be responsible for performing tasks of security and for other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- At least 5 years of security experience, preferably in a corporate campus environment;
- Must have supervisory experience managing a security workforce;
- CPR / Frist Aid certification preferred;
- OPOTA Private Security preferred;
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills;
- Outstanding attention and observation ability;
- High degree of critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient in report writing and use of security systems;
- Current and legal Driver's License;
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Highest level of integrity and ethics; and
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others.
