Duties, Responsibilities & Other:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Entry Level Land Surveyor is responsible for performing technical tasks in the field with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. This role involves working closely with team members, clients, and supervisors to ensure that all project requirements are met in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and KCI policies. The Entry Level Land Surveyor will actively participate in on the job training and cross-training opportunities to build a stronger team, communicate workflow needs, and learn from senior level technicians.Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution:
  • Carry out a range of surveying assignments while learning the methods of work
  • Assist Party Chief as directed to complete surveys
  • Maintain survey equipment and survey vehicle inventory
  • Survey equipment and tools used includes, but is not limited to Trimble Robotic Total Station, Leica 3D scanners, Automatic Levels, Bush Axe
  • Assist with maintaining records, preparing reports and other nonessential functions as required
  • Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations
  • Must be able to work outside in carious conditions
  • Must be able to travel as needed
  • Communication:
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements
  • Clearly communicate workflow needs to your team and supervisor
  • Compliance:
  • Understand and follow OSHA Safety Standards and KCI corporate policies at all times
  • Review job site safety daily and take immediate action to document and resolve issues
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Participate in on the job and cross-training as requested to enhance team capabilities
  • Work collaboratively with your team to maximize production and accuracy
  • Other Tasks:
  • Submit accurate time sheets, mileage, and expense reports on time each week
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Skills Required:
  • This is an entry-level position
  • Highschool Diploma/GED
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications
