
Assistant Front Office Manager

- To ensure maximum Front Office operating efficiency by assisting the Front Office Director with the oversight of bell and front drive, while supporting the front desk team, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction and associate development.
- Supervises and manages the day-to-day operations of the Guest Services department while supporting the Front Office operation.
- Understands associates positions well enough to perform duties in associates’ absence.
- Responds to all guest requests appropriately and remains alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and fellow associates always.
- Communicates any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
- Attend and prepare for daily stand-ups to obtain information from the previous shift and communicate with the incoming associates.
- Help coordinate hiring and training of new associates.
- Coordinates and executes luggage handling and delivery processes to meet the needs and requirements of group, meeting, and transient guests.
- Attend weekly resume meetings and communicate information regarding groups to appropriate teams.
- Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety and security. Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.
- Supports the developmental needs of others through coaching, mentoring to assist associates to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Responsible for Manager on Duty coverage as needed.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Prior Rooms Supervisory/Management experience required.
- Previous resort experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- General computer proficiency and the ability to learn hotel computer programs, Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Preferred experience or education in hospitality or the service industry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to act as an effective leader.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to work in all types of weather.
- Must be able to push and pull large bell carts along with lifting heavy luggage in and out of vehicles.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
