Casella Construction is looking for a multi-faceted leader to join our fleet management team in the role of Service Manager. The Service Manager is a key player in Casella Construction s strategy to be industry-leading in all we do. This is a supervisory role charged with inspiring and upholding Casella Standards in the heavy equipment maintenance area of our business. We are looking for a leader who is focused, flexible and highly organized as well as honest, loyal, and trustworthy.

The successful candidate will be a driven, committed individual who is able to prepare their team for a successful day by providing: consistent, efficient, and rational processes; superior care and judgement in matters of safety, professional conduct, and leadership; and financial discipline in the maintenance of company resources. In addition to being an organized manager of the day-to-day, the Service Manager will build excellent relationships with our many outside vendors. They must also be a skilled problem-solver and negotiator, who creates win-win, collaborative solutions based on sound business decision-making, knowledge of production needs and schedules, strong relationships, and the right information.

  • Experience with equipment management software or fleet management software; experience with B2W Maintain a plus
  • Possessing excellent communication skills and responsive communication style
  • Skilled with computers; able and willing to learn new programs
  • Stress tolerance
  • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in a maintenance setting in any industry
  • 3-5 years experience with personnel management or equivalent leadership experience
