Single. Day.Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a SURGICAL TECH INTERN to join ourteam!The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with the Aspirus standards of practice and by adhering to Aspirus policies, procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.ELIGIBILITY:
  • Students who are currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
  • Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students
  • Surgical Tech Intern II - 2nd year student
  • Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • Surgical Tech Intern I will work in Sterile Processing.
  • Sterile Tech Intern II will work in the OR.
