The Distribution Center Lead will be responsible for the daily execution of administrative tasks related to the preparation of goods for outbound shipment as well as:
Tracking, communication and relay of workload to 2nd Shift Supervisor in real-time as it is being completed using various WMS reports and modules
Basic understanding of an RF system and use thereof in assigned role
Preparation of outbound shipping paperwork and manifests
Coordination of outbound LTL shipments to include logging PRO/Tracking numbers
Participation in outbound audit/quality control process monitoring and tracking the pick/pack and shipment of sensitive electrical components/parts
Root cause investigation of shipping errors to include tracking, participation in analysis of identified issues and providing suggestions on improvements to process
Interface with Hub Alert system to interact with various levels of the sales staff, managers and other locations on requests and issues
Participation in functional reviews related to performance, shipping accuracy, safety and other topics related to assigned business unit
Administer workload respective to established cutoffs and coordinating post-cutoff requests with 2nd Shift Supervisor
Other duties, as assignedQualifications:
Able to meet fixed deadlines.
Excellent attendance record required.
Able to work overtime as needed.Requirements:
General knowledge of electrical products.
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks.
