DescriptionSAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.We are seeking a highly motivated Web Developer to join our team and leverage their technical expertise by designing, creating, testing, and maintaining web sites and content that enrich and optimize the exchange of information, and produce effective communications. As a Web Developer, you will interact with management and information technologists to gather and define requirements, analyze requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy customer needs, and coordinate creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design. Additionally, you will apply concepts, and develop, test, maintain, and support high-performance, innovative web-based applications.Responsibilities will vary based on skill level:
  • Following a formal design process that includes adhering to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of the web site end product
Designing and developing visually-pleasing, content rich, and user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigationMaintaining configuration management (CM)Maintaining a functioning user-accessible website and codes less complex websites using HTML, Visual Basic, or other web-based programming languagesWriting documentation regarding the website's technical requirementsMaintaining website technical documentation to assist with website maintenance and upgradesUsing a variety of internet technologies, and techniques and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, CGI, Visual Basic, HTML, and XML) to create web page elements, including user interface features, site animation, special effects, databases, and e-business applicationsWorking independently on more complex projectsQualificationsQualifications will vary based on skill level:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
Years of relevant experience and education:2+ years of web development experience and a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Four (4) years of additional web development experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting complex software problems, and providing solutions using the latest technologiesExperience with integrating new web products with existing web applications in order to improve the functionality or design of the organization's websiteSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
