This is a hybrid role, working from the Woodinville, WA office, when required. The HR Generalist is the main HR for PowerA team and will work with extended teams on recruiting and corporate wide initiatives.Responsibilities
  • Administers Human Resources policies and programs to support best business practices.
  • Acts as point of contact for employee questions or issues concerning HR policies, programs, and benefits; provides responses in a timely manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Champions and accelerates a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
  • Administers leave programs.
  • Administers collection and retention of records, forms, documentation, and other record keeping information relating to employees and employment issues such as personal employment data, legal defense data, worker's compensation, OSHA mandated records, etc.
  • Ensures ACCO Brands HRIS (called “HR Connect”) changes (e.g. cost center changes, job code changes, pay changes) are entered and approved in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Leads recruiting, hiring and orientation activities for positions, manages through complete life cycle of an employee, all stages including retirement/termination.
  • Leads temporary staffing needs of the business.
  • Identifies and drives efficiencies in HR by streamlining processes.
  • Researches information for management staff as required or for special projects.
  • Works with HR groups throughout the corporation, or others in the delivery of initiatives to be implemented or in the resolution of problems or questions.
  • Plans local community public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the employer, including onsite tours and visits and external job fairs.
  • Supports change management processes.
  • Assists in day-to-day management of Workers Compensation cases.
  • Address employees' questions and concerns providing responses in a timely manner and redirects as appropriate.
  • Provides analytical data, delivering accurate and timely data and analysis on a variety of projects, reports, and metrics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a HR Generalist role or 5 years' experience in a related role.
  • SHRM, HRCI or other HR related training/certification is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player with an approachable disposition.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and prioritization skills and be able to effectively manage interactions with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and complex issues with integrity and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Current knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure, hard-working and results focused.
  • Comfortable questioning status quo.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience utilizing HR systems, SAP is a plus.
  • Strong sense of urgency with exceptional follow up and follow through.
  • Experience with Workers Compensation administration and tracking is preferred.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000
