Central Garden & Pet has an exciting opportunity for a Business Integration Analyst based in Schaumburg, IL. As part of the Business Integration Team, this role has significant responsibilities related to designing, developing, and supporting multiple enterprise system integration initiatives across the company. This position requires cross-functional leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong technical skillset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to problem-solve in ambiguous situations and the capability to deliver solutions within time and scope. The candidate for this role will be an individual contributor with hands-on experience with no direct reports.MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Work with business stakeholders and technical leads to understand, document, and articulate system integration requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Must be able to architect integration pipelines that exchange data between systems with efficiency and resiliency.
  • Create high-level design documents with visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows.
  • Design testing procedures to support end-to-end documented testing of proposed changes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment. Ability to keep up with multiple projects and understand the impact of projects within a larger system.
  • Provide support for production integration pipelines, quickly resolving issues while also performing root cause analysis leading to corrective action to prevent future problems.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering or another related discipline. Some education with strong field experience would be considered.
  • 3+ years as a systems analyst or software developer.
  • Experience in Systems Integration/ETL with an IPaaS tool (Snaplogic preferred).
  • Practical experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java / C / C++ / Python / JavaScript.
  • Experience with development in QA & production deployment leveraging Git to support CI/CD.
  • Understanding of and experience with standard software quality assurance and testing processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively within tight, concurrent deadlines with accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with business processes such as Accounts Payables and Shipping is a bonus.
