Assesses, plans, designs, coordinates, implements, and evaluates training and educational programs to meet specified organizational needs within allocated resources. Assists security management with department/team performance improvement efforts. Acts as a resource to security officers in the absence of the manager or supervisor. Develops, monitors and oversees classes and training for the Security Officer Academy. Develops, monitors, maintains, and presents Security instruction to Healthcare Units when appropriate.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:5 years of security related experience is required. Must have documented experience as a professional trainer in Defense and Arrest Tactics (DAAT). 2 years of training leadership or supervisory experience is required.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Associates Degree in Police Science or Criminal Justice. In lieu of a degree, 10 years experience in healthcare security or law enforcement required. Associate degree is preferred.TRAINING DESCRIPTION:Hazardous Materials Operations training (O.S.H.A. 29 CFR 1910.120) and Incident Command System 100 and 200 (via FEMA Emergency Management Institute) required within 90 days of hire.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Valid Wisconsin driver's license is required.
