ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
  • Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
  • Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
  • Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently.
QualificationsRequirements:
  • Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Certification from IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety) preferred.
  • Valid State Driver’s license upon hire and maintained current
  • Current DMV report
