Security & Maintenance TechnicianQuarryville Presbyterian is in search of a dependable, independent individual to provide a wide range of light maintenance and security services on 2nd shift throughout our facility. This individual is a key member of our Facility Services Team as they maintain the security and safety of our residents, team members and property throughout the Community. The position includes monitoring and patrolling assigned areas and responding to emergencies, as needed.Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 11:30am-8:00pm, no weekendsCompensation: $18.00-$22.67/hour, dependent upon experiencePrimary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
  • Observe and evaluate suspicious activity involving persons or property anywhere on the campus and, if appropriate, immediately reports activity to the Police Department or to the Nursing Supervisor on duty and the Director of Facility Services.
  • Monitor the arrival and departure of team members during shift change. Provide a visible presence in and around the parking lot areas. Escort team members if needed.
  • Ensures that only authorized persons gain entry and that all visitors properly sign in.
  • Investigate initial maintenance concerns to assess urgency.
  • Perform door checks and observe the security camera system, as necessary.
  • Perform snow and ice removal duties at main entrance areas and sidewalks, as necessary.
  • Perform light maintenance duties, as necessary. This may include urgent, and minor repairs such as a clogged toilet or burned-out light.
  • Respond to emergency calls for Residential Living and Great Rock Cottages. Assisting the Healthcare Response Attendant and calling 911 if necessary.
  • Provide and perform CPR or First Aid, if necessary.
  • Monitor, investigate, acknowledge, and reset system alarms in the Simplex fire alarm panel. This includes fire alarms, priority 2 alarms, supervisory, and trouble alarms.
  • Completes Maintenance work requests and document using our handheld system.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma OR GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Must possess knowledge of basic building maintenance functions, including the use of hand and power tools.
  • Must be comfortable performing basic maintenance tasks to handle emergencies, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification required (Will provide certification training)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize.
