To be effective, you’ll ensure all work performed is in compliance with state, local and federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. You’ll develop practices and processes to ensure cost effective engineering while providing consistent delivery and customer satisfaction. And, you will be responsible for implementing site safety and security procedures and will play an active role in developing the safety program. - The successful candidate will possess the following:
- The ability to diagnose, design, configure, and repair building control systems.
- Conduct site assessments and provide customers with recommendations for retrofits, upgrades and/or enhancements to existing equipment.
- Assist the sales team by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
- Manage assigned work to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings (may assist with job layouts and bid proposals).
- Validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
- Assist with cost estimating, project scheduling and project management activities as needed
- Work in the field, as needed, with our control’s technicians, mechanical team and electricians to ensure projects are executed safely and to specification.
- Manage the standardization and process of our controls group, including the creation of standard templates and analysis tools
- Manage the selection, ordering and delivery schedule of materials to be procured
- Establish long-term customer, contractor, and vendor relationships
- Coordinate and deliver customer training; provide proper documentation and close-out packagesas required
- JCI FX 80, Honeywell or other Tridium Niagara based control systems
- JCI CCT (Controller Configuration Tool)
- Knowledge of IP-based networks and building automation communication protocols and systems strongly preferred (such protocols and systems include Niagara Tridium, BACnet, N2, LonWorks, Modbus)
- Knowledge of the construction/HVAC industry, control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building sub-systems.
- Basic understanding of mechanical HVAC/plumbing building systems Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills; able to work with coworkers and clients, ability to handle a variety of situations encountered during implementation process, discipline to work with limited supervision
- Ability to read project specifications and drawings.

- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Journeyman or Masters Electrical License a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, related discipline or equivalent in the field experience
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience
- Able to use conventional business tools including Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule
- Valid driver's license, available for local travel
