- New hire Global & US Medical Affairs onboarding, 90-day training plan/schedule, and their scientific training and certification
- Global & US medical teams continuing education (disease states and data), including treatment landscape training and certification. Utilize Medical Directors, Field Medical Directors (FMDs), and MSL Disease State Leads at discretion as appropriate
- Work closely with MALT, Medical Education & Training, Medical Strategy, and Field Medical to identify training needs, plan for the most appropriate educational programs and manage project budget by forecasting & prioritizing projects to assist with internal training and scientific exchange via the use of PMRC approved slide decks.
- Develop and monitor metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness of educational activities. Provide senior management with regular updates on these metrics also highlighting actionable trends and patterns.
- Work closely with Medical Communications colleagues to maintain updated PMRC/CRC approved slide decks required for MSL scientific exchange and for answering unsolicited questions.
- Coordinate Sales/Commercial training by MSLs, based on request from Sales Training.
- Work closely with US MSL Leads, MSL Management, Medical Directors to determine strategic importance of medical data presented at congresses / medical meetings in an effort to create daily highlights and executive summaries for US distribution & training.
- Advanced terminal degree (MD, PharmD, PhD,) in medical/biosciences.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training, medical affairs/ excellence, or related and relevant function.
- Oncology disease management knowledge in the therapeutic areas of interest to Eisai.
- Strong broad based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge, as well as, excellent presentation and teaching skills.
- Strong overall written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to train professionals on soft skills, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
- Must have thorough knowledge and experience within Eisai desired therapeutic area(s); comfortable and confident speaking about multiple drug indications/disease state management and competitor products and data.
- Thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical corporate environment and appreciation for Commercial Operations including Marketing and Sales strategic interests.
- Understanding and ability to effectively communicate the role and value provided by Medical Affairs.
- Ability to motivate and teach team members without a direct reporting relationship.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze situations and achieve goals.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel.
- This is a remote role with the ability to travel as needed to Conferences and internal meetings, up to 10- 20% of the time.
