.The primary focus of the position will be with Graphics Services. The candidate will also fully understand mail processes and the combination of mail and graphics as it pertains to operations and workflow management.Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Evaluate the workflow of printing and mailing tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of services, including printing projects, production schedules, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Change management: Identify and implement improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. Implement new printing technologies or software to streamline processes working with iPRINT website to enhance customer experience.
  • Enterprise and iPRINT management with Villanova's IT and current vendors.
  • Staff leadership work with staff ensuring alignment with goals and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Reporting and analysis metrics on operating costs and service delivery. Address operational challenges or delays and develop contingency plans. Ensure safety standards are met, particularly when handling heavy equipment or hazardous materials.
  • Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
  • Occasional operation of university vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • College degree required, or equivalent experience in the field.
  • 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach to effectively manage print and mail operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service experience.
  • A comprehensive background in print and mail operations including web-to-print technology, USPS regulations, and automation processes.
  • Ability to recognize all areas of production to identify workflow improvements.
  • Mail and Print equipment and technology
  • Ability to quickly learn Web to Print and Enterprise software.
  • Microsoft Office programs and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years previous similar position in an in-plant printing and mail facility commercial or higher ed.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Standing and sitting for extended periods.
  • Noise, minor exposure to chemicals used in various printing processes

Salary Posting Information:This position falls within salaried grade 17 and the range for this position is $82,400-103,000. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
