- Answer the main security line and dispatch other security officers to respond to incidents.
- Patrol Tribal properties for 4-hour shifts in a security vehicle, ensuring the safety of all assets.
- Monitor security camera screens for 4-hour shifts, identifying suspicious activities and incidents.
- Respond to dispatch calls, including emergencies, accidents, and security breaches at Tribal facilities.
- Ensure all Tribal buildings are secured, particularly during swing and graveyard shifts.
- Assist law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve security or safety issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of security systems, cameras, and other equipment to ensure they are functional and properly maintained.
- Write detailed incident reports following any accidents, security incidents, or suspicious activities.
- Complete FEMA online courses and ESF trainings for Communications/Mass Care & Sheltering as required by Tribal emergency preparedness protocols.
- Serve as a mandated reporter, ensuring concerns regarding the safety of Tribal members are reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist with security at Tribal events, ensuring the safety of attendees and property.
- Coordinate and lead response efforts during Tribal emergencies, including evacuations and sheltering operations.
- Conduct regular checks of emergency preparedness plans and ensure that they are up to date with Tribal safety needs.
- Work during emergencies that may affect the Tribe, including providing support during shutdowns or extreme weather events.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
