- Provides educational technology technical support to instructors/students in using Multimedia Lab technologies and resources.
- Develops and delivers Multimedia Lab orientation sessions.
- Designs, develops, delivers Multimedia Lab training curriculum, preparing FSI staff to develop and deliver instruction.
- Collaborates with Multimedia Labs support team to provide technical assistance in labs.
- Designs, develops, delivers educational technology-based and face-to-face training programs for training agency staff in the use of traditional and cloud-based eLearning technologies in Multimedia Labs and other environments.
- Provides educational technology technical support, on the fly, especially in the Virtual Help Room, such as with the agency’s learning system (Cornerstone), using audio, video.
- Support Media Specialists in recording sessions (in the agency Recording Studio) and perform media duplication services (government-specific training provided)
- Support students/staff in use of personal devices to access educational technology services.
- Recommend the appropriate educational technology resources available online and at the agency.
- Promote and effectively use both standardized and emergent educational technologies in both traditional and innovative ways.
- Develop/write interactive rubric job training aids to support curriculum.
- Primarily serves, trains, assists agency staff, secondarily, staff from all other agency schools and centers.
- Conducts needs analyses, develops training objectives, schedules lesson plans and evaluations, and collaborates on instructional treatment with Government program staff.
- Use standardized and emergent educational technologies in both traditional and innovative ways.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen as mandated by our government client.
- Must have a completed Public Trust Investigation AND be able to qualify/hold a future secret clearance.
- Must be local to the DC/MD/VA metro area, no convenience travel.
- 5+ years of general professional experience OR 2+ years of general experience AND 2+ years of related experience
- Knowledge and expertise using educational technology in online and physical multimedia labs and classroom settings.
- Knowledge transfer of instructional educational technologies techniques to instructional staff
- Experience with eLearning development products.
- Use of educational technologies in educational labs and familiar with the use of devices in learning technologies
- Experience using collaborative or social learning environments as tools for learning.
- Familiar with educational technology resources available to teaching, such as MOOCs
- Experience with Video Teleconferencing technologies, such as Zoom for Government, Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet
- Knowledge and familiarity with technical issues using educational technology in the classroom, such as using audio, video.
- Technical mindset, aptitude, and experience
- Ability to support, conceptualize, implement simulations and prototyping.
- BA/BS degree in a field related to formal training pedagogy.
- Master’s degree in educational technology or a related field.
- Understand HTML 5
- Learning Management Systems, such as: Cornerstone
- Experience using mobile learning platforms and responsive design frameworks.
- Learner engagement technologies, such as: Poll EveryWhere, Kahoot!, Slido, Quizlet, Mentimeter.
- eLearning authoring technologies, such as: Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, Lectora.
- Graphics design and video editing technologies, such as: Adobe Creative Cloud
- Gamification and AI technologies, such as ChatGPT (AI)
- Survey Tools, such as: Qualtrics, Survey Monkey
