Join a dynamic conflicts team and play a crucial role in assisting lawyers with ethical issues and identifying conflicts of interest.If you are a meticulous professional with excellent legal research abilities, a strong customer service focus, and a passion for compliance and legal ethics, this position is perfect for you.Responsibilities:Create search tactics and perform conflict checks utilizing the firm’s internal electronic system (Intapp or comparable software)Analyze and summarize findings for attorneys and Conflicts Counsel, pinpointing potential problems and suggesting solutionsConduct corporate research using online databases to uncover connections and associationsCompose engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums for internal evaluationCollaborate with Conflicts Counsel, Conflicts Attorneys, General Counsel, and the wider legal team to aid in resolving conflictsAid in the continuous cleanup and reconciliation of client/matter records in the conflicts databaseProvide top-notch support to attorneys and legal assistants in a proactive mannerOccasionally assist with requests beyond regular business hours, as necessaryRequirements:Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in a law firm)1-2+ years of experience in a conflicts department at a mid- to large-sized law firmKnowledge of legal ethics and professional responsibility rules pertaining to conflictsPreference for experience with Intapp or similar legal conflicts softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume settingExceptional attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilitiesAptitude for translating complex research into clear, actionable recommendations
