Korean Women's Association (KWA) is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Generalist in Lakewood, WA. The HR Generalist performs human resources work in the areas of employee relations support, recruitment & selection, new employee orientation, payroll, HR records management, workers compensation, unemployment claims, performance management and medical leave management.Apply at kwacares.org/careersKey Human Resources Responsibilities:Manages workers compensation, unemployment claims and medical leave programs.Lead HR recruitment efforts to attract and retain a diverse and skilled workforce.Guide and may conduct the onboarding process for new Administrative employees.Input and manage information into the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now).Requirements:Intermediate to advanced proficiency in ADP (Work Force Now) or other similar HRIS software systems.Working knowledge of employment laws and compliance regulations including HIPAA, Wage & Hour Laws and recordkeeping.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is respected but not required. A combination of education and human resources experience will be considered.SHRM-SCP or SPHR/PHR certification is highly desirable.Experience and skills:Indisputable ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.Balanced ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments.2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Specialist role, preferably in a unionized non-profit organization.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.Compensation & Benefits: $26.50 - $31.00 per hour.
