Shipping and Receiving Associate

- 1st Shift- 7:00 AM- 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday. Friday OT as needed.
- Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 depending on experience.
- Work with the appropriate Supervisor(s) to ensure that the appropriate staff is aware of shipment priorities and casting due dates; arrange for blasting and/or re-blast as needed; likewise work with the Machine Shop Supervisor to coordinate shipments.
- Conduct Brinnell tests as required and record Brinnell test results when needed.
- Prepare castings for shipment to customers; palletize castings and band if necessary; apply rust inhibitor as needed; or any other activities required to get the part ready and finalized for shipments when needed.
- Prepare documentation for shipping castings to customers – enter shipment information into GP and prepare required paperwork including packing slips and bills of lading; email any paperwork required by the customer, prepare any necessary international or customs paperwork.
- Inspect – visually inspect castings prior to shipment as a final check and to speed up the process when the Quality Technician is not available.
- Arrange truck transportation – call in all carriers for castings that are ready to ship from either Foundry or Machine Shop. Coordinate international shipments as necessary.
- Verify certifications are approved prior to shipping castings that are required; match part number and sequence numbers to ensure correct shipment.
- Coordinate shipment of castings to and from providers of heat treating, and other outside services – identify and separate castings; enter shipment information into GP and prepare required shipment paperwork, ensure that required test bars accompany each shipment; coordinate truck transportation; update documentation as castings come back for final processing and shipment to the customer.
- Education: High school or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years experience. Microsoft Suite and previous Shipping and Receiving Software. Forklift Certified (will certified onsite)

- Knowledge of Foundry and Machine Shop processes and constraints
- Knowledge of customer requirements and metrics for on time delivery
- Knowledge of relevant GP modules; ability to effectively utilize computers and printers.
- Knowledge of MS Office software, especially MS Excel & MS Outlook
- A strong on-time delivery orientation
