This role will lead FP&A for the Supply Chain team and oversee planning, forecasting, and optimization of budgets across transportation, warehousing, inbound and outbound freight categories. The right candidate will have strong prior experience in a hardware contract manufacturing and sourcing environment that includes knowledge of inbound and outbound freight management and warehousing. This position will report to the Director of Operations Finance and will have a small team of 1-2 high performing analysts reporting to them. The key responsibilities include working closely with the supply chain team to effectively forecast and manage the overall annual supply chain budget and working closely with accounting to ensure accurate forecasting, accruals and recording of actuals. The right candidate will have experience analyzing large datasets to come up with actionable recommendations as well as leading implementation of process improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in annual planning, forecasting and tracking Supply Chain expenses in hardware focused organizations is required. Experience in the renewable energy sector highly preferred but not required.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Partner with VP Supply Chain and his directs to forecast and track annual budgets and the R&O process
  • Assist supply chain teams in key vendor negotiations, by defining clear guidance on desired payment standards, and partnering with legal teams to help establish standard commercial terms
  • Partner with logistics & warehouse teams to align on optimal outbound & inbound strategy to minimize costs and maximize on-time delivery of material to factory & finished goods to customers
  • Support critical business planning processes: SII, Op Plan, Quarterly estimates, QMI (Quick Market Intelligence), etc.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly closing process for all sites, including cost accounting accruals, inventory costing, FIFO, obsolescence / warranty reserves, and consequent balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations
  • Drive consistent and accurate reporting for VCP, deflation, variable / base costs, project execution, and margins on monthly basis
  • Support weekly / monthly finance operating processes, including QMI, PSI, Inventory deep dive, financial ops reviews
  • Drive working capital improvements, including payables and inventory
  • Provide leadership in controllership related to inventory accounting / processes (physical inventory controls, costing & production order accounting)
  • Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports and models to lead business improvement and cost reductions.
  • Advanced reporting and analysis using Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data including reconciliations, period to period variance analysis, derivation of cost targets, analyzing cost deviation with variance explanations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive work experience in finance with 5+ years in supply chain financial planning and analyses in a hardware focused company
  • Experience with Freight budget forecasting (unit costing $/lb, $/mile, $/pallet), invoice auditing and actuals reporting
  • Accounting knowledge to track timing of invoices/ payments, how and when to apply to products
  • Advance excel modeling skills and comfort with managing large datasets.
  • Proven technical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative, and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results.
  • Demonstrated effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First-hand knowledge of how a warehouse operates.
  • Experience with Solar or Wind industry or other renewable technologies
  • Knowledge of Anaplan, Tableau and Qliksense
  • Accounting experience

Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
