Plant operations include batching, facilities management, quality control, truck and plant maintenance personnel, and supervision of the ready-mix drivers. In addition, management of non-union plant managers and roving plant operators. Also working closely with dispatch and customers to provide superior product and customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the daily management of concrete mixer drivers, aggregate drivers, mechanics, and plant operations personnel, including discipline and discharge.Coordinates dispatch operations, such as the number of trucks needed, scheduling concrete drivers, production personnel and material truck drivers.Coordinates with the Materials department on timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials.Management of Wells precast deliveries.Responsible for the manufacture and distribution of ready mixed concrete, plant operations and maintenance, safety at plants and general condition of ready-mix trucks, truck maintenance, and quality control functions to ensure on time delivery as well as product quality of ready mix.Implement and support company Safety Program through coordination with company Safety Director and other management personnel to ensure zero lost time accidents.Run plant operations that meet company goals with respect to plant and mixer efficiency standards. Plants are to be operated in compliance with State and Federal environmental standards.Provide leadership for all personnel and instill team approach. Establish and conduct training with other managers, including driver training.Manage operations to annual budget for plant and delivery expenses in the region.Administration of DOT random drug testing, union bidding, contract and policy compliance.Address quality control issues with personnel to meet company goals. Assure end use product is free from defect to provide customer satisfaction.Assure that customers receive timely service and addresses complaints in a timely manner.Assist in managing truck maintenance through coordination with the Director of Fleet.Activity and involvement in Industry Association and participation in community affairs.Provide technical support with computer tablets, scanning, delivery tickets and batching computers.Execution of union contracts.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year university and 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to provide leadership to all employees in a professional manner.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must have ability to work with customers, suppliers, and employees.Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Operate computerized systems and have general computer knowledge.Must have a valid driver’s licenseBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceLife InsuranceRetirement PlansPaid Time OffWellness ProgramEducation AssistanceEmployee Assistance ProgramClosingIf you are interested in becoming part of our team, please apply online today.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
