Strong financial footings and international resources.OPPORTUNITY: Report to Accounting Manager and Controller in support of core accounting, financial reporting, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, tax, audit and ad hoc projects. As follows:DIVISIONAL ACCOUNTING, FIXED ASSETS & TAX: Responsibility for JE preparation assisting with month end close, financial reporting, general accounting (AP & AR), fixed assets, and tax. Will learn the entire sales cycle and related accounting from order entry, PO process, shop floor activity, and the inventory impact thru to the A/P and A/R accounting process. Maintain fixed asset database.Complete CT sales and use tax returns and 1099's. Assist with CT property tax filing ensuring PP&E on B/S is accurate.ACCOUNT ANALYSIS & RECONCILIATIONS: Complete income statement and balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations and compare the actuals to budget and to forecasts. Understand variances.GENERAL ACCOUNTING: Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Responsible for processing checks, invoices, check requests, wires, ACH, and credit card charges. Review documentation, determine accuracy, authorizations and approvals. Process vendor payments, follow up on past due receivables, and intercompany accounting / invoicing. Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the ERP system.AUDIT: Assist on the external year end and internal audit to ensure internal controls compliance.AD HOC PROJECTS: Provide supplemental financial data to the CFO, President and cross functional operations team as requested. Prepare census reports.REQUIREMENTS: BS required; Seek 3+ years of experience gained in small public accounting firm and/or combined with private industry preferably in manufacturing company. Experience with ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SAP, Infor, BNA Fixed Asset, Great Plains, or Syteline ideal). Down to earth, affable and easy to get along with personalities!
