Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesExperience with geographic information systems (GIS/GPS) and mapping (e.g. ArcGIS) is preferred. Knowledge of techniques for monitoring and processing data from wildlife acoustic monitoring systems is required. Demonstrated ability to identify birds in Appalachia by sight and sound.

Preferred Education/ExperienceThe preferred candidate will have experience working on restoration or reforestation projects, and working with diverse partners such as energy companies, state and federal agencies and non-profit organizations. Position will require frequent overnight travel, extensive work in the field, and the development of numerous professional contacts.BA + 1 year experience preferred.
