Work Type: In personShift: 5 AM - 1:30 PM Monday - FridayPay: $18.50 - $20/hourJob Summary:We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support the overhead paint line operations. This hands-on role involves loading and unloading product on a moving conveyor system, inspecting and prepping materials, performing quality checks, and packaging finished parts for shipment. A strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork is essential in this fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities:Load / Unload Operations:
- Load and unload products onto a moving overhead conveyor.
- Unpackage, inspect, and prep materials for processing.
- Read blueprints to determine racking placement and coverage zones.
- Repackage and prepare finished parts for outbound shipments.
- Conduct inline quality control checks and maintain documentation.
- Use power tools for prep and repair of defective materials.
- Maintain a clean work environment and support maintenance efforts.
- Prepare and stage shipments for customer pickup.
- Load and unload trucks; assist drivers as needed.
- Receive incoming materials from customers and suppliers.
- Manage incoming inventory of shop supplies and paint materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions regularly.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives such as 5S, kaizen events, and documenting standard work procedures.
- High attention to detail and safety.
- Basic math, conversion, and computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Able to work at a fast pace on a moving production line.
- Willingness to be trained in forklift operation.
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
- Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs., with occasional team lifts of up to 75 lbs.
- Visual acuity required for inspections (close, distance, color vision, depth perception).
